The schedule of programmes put up for the feast of St. Joseph is still fresh in our minds. We are now working hard together to have another special schedule for the feast of the Immaculate Conception which is so dear to our hearts and also for Christmas. The December schedule will be full of programmes that are set to satisfy the tastes of all. Details will be given at a later time.

A few days ago a new management committee for Radio Lehen il-Qala was set up under the chairmanship of Archpriest Canon Dr. Joe Zammit. The members of the committee are Ivan Cefai, Co-Ordinator, Josef Abela, Karl Buttigieg, Jacqueline Cefai, Sammy Mejlaq, and Philip Pisani. While we augur all the best to the new committee we wish to say a big THANK YOU to Seminarian John Paul Cefai who for the past two years has worked indefatigueably to keep the radio going. Surely it is due to his continual dedication, love, involvement and personal sacrifice that we now boast our new and modern studios. He has also been the driving force which enables us to go on being a voice in the homes of our listeners. Once again, thank you and we wish you all the best for you future.

During a meeting I had with the equipe of Radio Lehen il-Qala soon after I took up office as Archpriest of Qala, I told them that one of my priorities was to have new studios for our community radio. Today, to my great satisfaction what I had then promised has become a reality. It was surely Divine Providence and the generosity of a mature community that has made it possible to realise such a project in a relatively short time. The radio, which is a modern means of apostleship now guarantees a better future, since the place from which transmissions are made is as important as the whole apparatus involved in broadcasting. I cannot find words enough to thank God and the community of Qala for the trust it repeatedly puts in me as their pastor.
